The Dementia Elevator project hosted a national dementia awareness, skills and education showcase on Tuesday September 20th in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Ireland (ASI) and the Health Service Executive (HSE).
The showcase marked the beginning of the Dementia Elevator Roadshow which stopped in Clonmel, Kinsale, Tralee, Limerick, Roscommon, Castlebar, Achill Island, Donegal and finally ending in Ardee Co. PREPARED has developed and published a clinical web resource called dementiapathways.ie which is specifically designed for GPs and primary health care professionals.
It includes clinical care pathways, a comprehensive selection of information leaflets and guidelines (including some from DSIDC) and a database of community based clinical services and supports available for people living with dementia across Ireland.Read More
The Institute of Public Health in Ireland (IPH) has created a new web
resource called www.dementiaresearch.ie to support those working in the
field of dementia.
The site provides a summary and overview of data, research and policy on
dementia across the island of Ireland (between 2010 and 2014).
It allows users to search by keywords or undertake a more specific advanced
search. The results will provide a summary and an indication of where to
access further details.
