New World and National Reports on Dementia

The World Alzheimer Report 2016 reviews the state of healthcare for dementia around the world, and recommends ways that it can be improved. Through cost modelling, the report shows that these improvements are affordable and achievable.  The Report was independently researched and authored by the Global Observatory for Ageing and Dementia Care and the PSSRU at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. click here to download a copy

Dementia Elevator Roadshow - September 2016

The Dementia Elevator project hosted a national dementia awareness, skills and education showcase on Tuesday September 20th in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Ireland (ASI) and the Health Service Executive (HSE).

The showcase marked the beginning of the Dementia Elevator Roadshow which stopped in Clonmel, Kinsale, Tralee, Limerick, Roscommon, Castlebar, Achill Island, Donegal and finally ending in Ardee Co. Louth.  Dearbhla O'Caheny from DSIDC spoke at the Roscommon event about the dementia awareness and educational work DSIDC are doing in schools.
