This one day workshop provides students with a structured approach to meeting the needs of the person with behaviours which staff may find challenging.
On completion of this workshop participants will be able to:
• Discuss the concept of behaviours that challenge.
• Develop a structured approach to manage such behaviours.
• Relate how the social psychology of the care environment impacts on the quality of life of the person with dementia.
The workshop will take place in the DSIDC, 6th Floor, Mercer’s Institute for Successful Ageing, St James’s Hospital.
