Under section 6 of the Acts, a person has a right to have his/her personal data corrected, if inaccurate, or erased, if there is not a legitimate reason for the retention of this data. There is no fee for this. DSiDC shall comply within 40 calendar days of the receipt of such a request.

The DSiDC takes its security responsibilities seriously in relation to the retention of data through the DSiDC website and endeavours to take all necessary physical and technical measures to ensure that information collected is secure. DSiDC will regularly review these measures. DSiDC will routinely review all data supplied to the DSiDC through the website to ensure that all information stored is necessary. If you have any queries regarding the collection of information by DSiDC you can submit them in writing to the office or by email to dsidc@stjames.ie.
