The DSiDC’s education and training programme is directed mainly at Health and Social Care professionals. The current in-house training programme and our e-learning opportunities are available below and we also deliver bespoke training in nursing homes and other venues around the country. In addition we regularly give talks or education sessions to a variety of different community groups, businesses, organisations and other professionals outwith the health and social care sectors.
All of our work is underpinned by a person centred philosophy that views dementia as a disability and the belief that much can be done to enhance the quality of life of the person diagnosed with dementia.
We use a range of teaching and learning strategies in the delivery of our courses to enhance the learning experience and we strive to create a relaxed atmosphere where participants are encouraged to contribute and respect others’ contribution.
Please contact our Education team to discuss your training and education requirements.
